The age old question..What do you want to be when you grow up? I say alive…but that is a horrible joke.

Really..
I do know what I want to be when I grow up and my level of education has nothing to do with it, at all. Being successful is a goal of mine but my success is not dependent on anyone else, just my own. I wanted to be a famous singer, an actress, a mother, an important person in my community and a good person. We all know how many of these goals that I have been able to achieve, but there is one that I have not listed here.

I want to be who I say I am!

I want to be the person that younger people look to for inspiration, encouragement, and hope. I want to be that older lady that younger women say they admire and strive to be like. In my life those wonderful ladies that I strive to be like are my Mother and my Aunt Susie.

I want to be that old Christian lady that people can look at and see the Christ in me and my life. Not only that, but to actually be that woman that has lived her life for Christ with no regrets.

How many of us strive for the same thing? Many people my age strive to make enough money to retire comfortably and not have to work again, and I only want to retire so that I can volunteer and spend my time doing something that is much more fulfilling than money or recognition.
