What a difference time makes…
This time 2 years ago I was sitting at work, with patients cancelling left and right…writing blogs to take up time…
Now here I am working from home for the last few weeks, and wondering when I will get to go back to my office so I can work in a “regular” atmosphere…. same person, different frame of mind…
Have you taken into consideration that many of us are at home, and longing to be out and about instead of at home resting. I am sitting here thinking that I have not had this much time at home in probably 12 years…let that sink in….12 years..I have been burning my candle in the middle for so long, it was hard and still is hard for me to sit still. I feel like I have to be doing something all the time…When did I rest before this work from home thing?
Have you considered that perhaps, we have been sent home to reconnect our families, or to rediscover who we are without all of the hustle and bustle. I know that I am in a blessed position to be able to work from home, but 2 years ago I was not…. I would have been applying for unemployment with the over 3 million Americans who are struggling…
You can never forget where you come from, but certainly help those who are less fortunate than yourself…I know that God has his hand on his children during this time, but some of us will transition home because of this virus. We can mourn the dead, but not feel sorry for them because they are renewed in Christ when they leave this earth…
Have you ever considered that maybe we don’t know everything…or anything at all. Those who feel that they know better than others are often the ones who find themselves in the most trouble. Humility is something we don’t see much of these days, and that is a very sad fact..It hurts my heart that our society does not have compassion for their fellowman and only want to look out for themselves….This is truly a time when we as human beings saved by grace will show the world what real followers of Christ are about…I love God and am praying everyday for our protection from hurt, harm or danger. Being able to work from home is truly a blessing, and you will not hear me complain, because I am where I need to be right now, and God truly has his hand on me and my family.
Have you given thanks today? or were you at the grocery buying 5 loaves of bread and the remainder of the toilet paper, keeping it for yourself, when others are going without? The bible does speak of setting up riches for yourself on earth, where dust and moth doth corrupt. If your neighbor is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty, give him drink….the old testament holds true even now…
I want to leave you with something to think about…..The Bible says to not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow has it’s own worries. Let that be the scripture that fills your heart each day, and remember that God loves you and wants to take care of you…
Peace, health, and wellness
Dina
