This is a question that I have been wanting to ask for a long time.
Do you love yourself? Not only for others but also for me. If we say, “Yes, of course I do!” Are you being truthful?
If we loved ourselves, we would stop self-sabotaging our lives, goals, and aspirations. We would stop accepting unacceptable behavior from others or taking our frustrations out on others. We would stop being selfish and petty. Most importantly, we would stop hating..
You need to realize that this much emotion and energy spent toward negativity has a real toll on your body, mind, and spirit. True love is fierce, strong, and unending, truly life-changing. I know the Bible says that love is gentle and kind and does not mock, all of that is true as well. From my experience with love for others and self-love, it is eye-opening the amount of energy and strength it takes to love yourself and sometimes others.
Choose your energy expenditures wisely, or better yet, save some energy to love yourself and be strong in that love; you may be the only one who does.
God is love. If you and God are the only ones who love you, that is enough.
